In 2016 I had the opportunity to travel to the Sherman Lake YMCA Camp in Michigan. It was a magnificent experience since it was “my first time” in many things, such as traveling by plane, going abroad, being surrounded by people from other cultures, and doing activities that I had never done, such as archery, canoeing, among others.
The activities offered by the camp are always focused on the welfare of people and how to make them grow personally and socially. These make us reflect and motivate us to carry out productive projects for our lives as well as for society.
The process of the trip was not only for me, my parents were also very involved, and that is what they liked, as the YMCA is very aware of us and the security and recommendations they provided.
Upon my return to Colombia, I would like to return and work as a volunteer of the YMCA Colombia, to continue training as a leader and to be part of this wonderful family.
